Road closures, nosy people standing in the middle of the footpath to have a glimpse.
Celebrities in expensive cars causing traffic to stop for them.
Chaos!!!
The street was shut down just for them!!
I think the previous week we had the stars from High School musical come to the red carpet event, but nothing as big as this! I mean, they barricaded the streets and had police working to control traffic as well as two (or three?) large screens set up too! Massive massive event!
And I didn't take any photos. Damn me for being short and lost through the crowds!!
Tight security surrounded the event, including bomb squad dogs and a large contingent of bodyguards.
I heard that the stars of the movie had waited until tonight to see the finished film.
*sigh*
Well, let's just hope that chaos doesn't repeat itself tomorrow because I don't want to be trampled on tomorrow!! hehehe

The days of mindlessly following America's dumbest are at an end and a more intelligent approach can be devised. One that actually works.

Finally the moment we've been waiting for has come.
Yesterday Barack Obama vowed one of his first acts will be closing Guantanamo Bay. This week our Government will receive a report into the bungled Dr Haneef fiasco and the Opposition have joined with the Greens to call for an independent watchdog - this is our chance to demand a new era of national security that protects both Australia and the rights of all Australians.
It's time we make sure no Australian can be detained without charge, without legal representation and without access to the evidence against them. Without clear statements from the community, politicians will again err on the side of appearing tough at the expense of just and effective laws.

Sensible terror lawsOk! I have been on a "puppy hunt" lately and have been to several of the shelter and "no kill" centers here in Dallas. None of them have the kind of dog that I want and I have given this about a 6 month turn around. I want a little dog as the place is not huge, but it would be big enough for "little man" or "little woman" and there is no one here but me,I'm single, studies show a pet helps you live longer, not many come to visit so I would not be worried there, but I want a breed that is small and trainable because if I come in and the house is torn down! it want be happy place, and I don't do doggy odor! and really don't want to kennel them when I'm away, but certainly I would have a huge kennel, and the other thing is that I might have to move if the place want allow it. Oh and who can forget sinus and allergies. With that said. I have narrowed my choice to the 4 below. Mr President-elect your not the only one on a pet search ;) Be great to hear opinions.
