Food left to spoil at check out
One of the things that I really dislike in life is how food (in this case cheese) is left abandoned at the check out cashier when a customer changes their mind about the purchase. The problem is the store personnel will likely place the item back in the refrigeration section after an abundance of bacteria has built up and the next buyer is left with everything possible from a stomach ache to food poisoning.

There is no way of telling when a bought product may have sat outside the refrigerator.
On a related theme one of my pet hates is "all you can eat" places where folk help themselves. Kids (and even adults for that matter) can sometimes be seen sticking their bare hands in the food.
Not going there is my solution but if something like avian flu takes off they may have to change the process.
In a world with many folk starving, it shows a certain insensitivity.
