Many people are afraid of spiders and I am one of them. However, the other day at work this fine specimen appeared out of no where. I advised everyone not to kill it for it wasn't bothering no one. Did I make the right decision?
Yes, for sure... killing spiders is mean so I think you made the rigfht choice. If I went around killing everything I was afraid of, there'd be no people, spiders, giant dogs or seaweed :o)
I never kill spiders. It's bad luck to kill them, although I gotta say this one in your picture is really scary looking, so I might have thrown the shoe before thinking (ha ha). Where are you living that you have spiders like THAT? I haven't seen anything like that since I left Australia.
I don't like spiders, although i wouldn't say I'm afraid of them. I try not to kill them, but rather scoop them up and send them out into the cold, cruel world. When we lived in Phoenix, Arizona, we had an entire family of black widows living in our garage. We had our laundry in the garage and we garaged both cars, so there was really no avoiding them, but we still managed to avoid each other. I remember that we even saw them through a birth cycle where they produced loads of little widows, yet we were never stung and we never crushed a single one. And the beat went on, and on, and on.
Time is a river of passing events, and its current is strong. No sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes it place—and this too will be swept away.
