I cannot resist this puppy or kitten, therefore I will donate a small monetary gift to the Tasso Foundation for animal protection. Can not you also resist?

Well done! I also support a couple of similar organizations here in Italy. Apart from donating small amounts each year I am trying to find other practical ways of helping - animal shelters usually appreciate if you are willing to give them a hand even if not on a regular basis. Some dog shelters - like the one I'm involved with - need people to take dogs out for a walk once a week, and whoever shows up on Sunday mornings is welcome. Give it a thought if you haven't already!

I find it very rewarding - for my it's a sort of pet therapy, plus the doggies get a chance of socializing, learning to trust humans again (if they have been abandoned or abused), and of course get out of the shelter cages even if only for a little while.

I might just do that at the local animal shelter. Thanks for the reminder.
