What Tavis says, seems correct. The Iraq war, was a huge mistake, and extricating ourselves from there will not be easy. I remember McNamara when he was Defense Secretary. As for King, there were many, especially the young, who shared his view against the VietNam war.

Well, America can get the WARM AND FUZZIES now, b/c the next confirmation will be ADHS- who will help Napolitano, the man maggot, and he is a Muslim. Just as Koh who is on the admin. of death and destruction, he is FOR Shariah Law here in the USA.

MCnamara- we will be looking to the days of McNamara and wanting him back as compared to these power-drunk MAD fascist democrats.

The GOP will seem like a dream when these maggots are done, after all, they have been in power for OVER 2 1/2 years, and people still are blaming the GOP- who have not been in power AT ALL.

Robert McNamara was a rare individual from the ranks of high office. It's fairly unusual for politicians to review their decisions and accept their errors.

The Fog of War is a very revealing account of how the path to war is very hard to back out of even when you can't win. Crossing your fingers and sending more kids into the meat grinder is no substitute for swallowing your pride and making a smart decision. Anyone thinking to use Robert McNamara as a pro war example hasn't been paying attention.

In spite of a claim by a previous writer, the results of decisions can persist long after the decisions have been made and the perpetrators have entered the history books. Some folk are still hurting over the defeat in Vietnam as they will over their lost children in Iraq. In fact it's rare that a decision does not carry further implications.

Iraq is not America's problem just like Vietnam wasn't. Dr King eventually had heaps of support once folk thought about their country's involvement. Once people realised it wasn't a game of Dominos and more a game of Chess, support for the Vietnam War thankfully melted away.
Thanks for your comment.

"It's fairly unusual for politicians to review their decisions and accept their errors" your statement is so true. And thanks for highlighting the Fog of War and the Dominos Theory the people that are concerned need to know the facts and nothing but the facts.
