Yes, why not, for the beer is what is known as liquid bread to the locals. Beer goes with every meal and in fact any other situation that I find myself in.

Reminds me of the Volksfests I went to when I was a kid in Berlin --- grownups in the pavillion and kids running round enjoying the games and booths. Thanks for the memories.

In Berlin it was the fashion to put a dallop of some kind of raspberry syrup into the beer. hmmmm........

The small portion of raspberry syrup is mixed with the beer Berliner Kindl.

Berliner Wiesse. I was, sadly, too young to imbibe. I remember walking through the parks and people would buy a drink at little stands.
