This sign posted to the front glass of a local pharmacy warns: Fake medication-- real side affects. At the bottom the WHO and the German Federal Police further warn that fake medication are dangerous to our health and that 2,7 Million illegal imported meds are discovered and confiscated at Customs. Worse yet, they warn that the numbers are probably several times higher.
Nevertheless, the poster caught my attention. And just think, all of that facial hair ladies because of cheap and fake meds.
While reading the Stars and Stripes newspaper the other day I came across this very interesting article. It reads that the beginning of Martial law to fight crime in Italy has began. Is this a good thing? Has Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi lost his mind? Read the entire article before casting judgement for actions of this nature may work for other trouble spots?
Yes, ladies and Gentlemen the end of summer sales have started in Germany. And I couldn't help but notice this large signs at the local Hertie department store. On the only issue that I have with the photos is the missing merchandise. Maybe that were already sold out? Nevertheless, I won't be making any purchases for I have enough crap at home to last several years.
The picture on the right is of tonight's Italian ice cream dinner. But actually I wanted to show off the paper napkins---they are ultra thin. In fact, I always thought the ice cream dealers were being cheap but they all offer such bare minimum mouth and hand wiping utensils. And the more I think about it I really don't need a napkin most of the times.
The other day I was pondering if Electric hand dryers are more economical than Paper towels. Well, according to the the green lantern over at slate.com that say:
“Both hand dryers and paper towels carry an environmental cost, so the Lantern's peers typically advise folks to wipe their hands on their trousers. But if you fancy yourself too classy to walk around in damp pants, then hand dryers are, indeed, the greener option—not because they necessarily prevent deforestation, but because they actually use less energy once everything's taken into account.”
Now you probably are asking what brought this on. Well, it started at work for the washrooms lack a electric dryer but instead a reliance on paper towels and it constant resupply is becoming an issue.
With that written, I plan on moving forward with a request to install the more economical dryers but I must find some time to do it. All and all, it just makes sense not to waste valuable resources at work or at home. In fact, I even visited a local McDonald's restaurant to check out their model and how they were handling the hand dying situation. Check out the pictures taken with the Nokia N82 multimedia computer.
My question to my fellow voxers is: have you experienced a similar situation that needed correction?
It is not often that I take the side of the GOP (source) but I also denounce this housing legislation as a bailout for irresponsible homeowners and unscrupulous lenders. However, through deregulation and “let the market be” approach that many conservatives hold dear to their hearts didn't help the present situation much. That said, I have a chance to hop upon my soap box and proclaim once again that: your one stop shopping religion “Deism” teaches self-reliance and encourages people to constantly use their reason for an iota of prudent thought could have prevented this mess in the first place.
Lastly, Deism teaches to "question authority" no matter what the cost. And asking the probing questions and weighing them against facts not fiction would save the tax payer much more in the long run than a bail out from the Government in the short run.
