What did you prepare and eat today?

Alabama sheriffs feed inmates on $1.75 a day

- BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Back in the day of chain gangs, Alabama passed a law that gave sheriffs $1.75 a day to feed each prisoner in their jails, and the sheriffs got to pocket anything that was left over. More than 80 years later, most Alabama counties still operate under this system, with the same $1.75-a-day allowance, and some sheriffs are actually making money on top of their salaries.
Is this a corrupt system or not? Or should the prisoners and the public not complain for in other parts of the world millions live day to day on less. Or, according to County Sheriff Shaver "These people eat better here than they eat on the street, and they eat three times a day," offer a better reason to justify this aged old system.

Just in case if you were wondering what I occasionally shop for food, one can see for them self. And yes, I know I need to lay off the cookies, but I just cannot help myself sometimes. Every person has their vice/s and this is one of mine—sweets.
As you can see my lunch time meal for Sunday the Rth of May 2008 was Pasta-Gratin >Tricolori<. Ingredients are:125 g Noodles, 250 g leafy spinach, 2 tomatoes, 100 ml sweet milk, 50 g of cheese and the powered mix
The meal was a success because the Maggi food company makes the recipe so easy. Once again , I am a happy camper. And now that I have finished with cooking the ironing awaits me :((

undergo a reversal of traditional roles in their home. That said, I was
wondering how the chores are broken up in your households? Any takers?
Btw, that Tomaten-Zucchinni casserole wasn't bad for a vegi dinner.
