"I think he was somewhat of a zealot," Thomas says. "I don't have a problem with him pushing an agenda, it's the way he did it. People borrowed money to go into business and they are being attacked by the government." My comment revolves around the fact that citizens must be awakened to the real silent killers---namely false diets. A leading physician and medical researcher says that adults should have a drink a day, unless contraindicated. Dr. R. Curtis Ellison bases his recommendation on the scientific medical evidence about the health benefits of the regular consumption of alcohol in the form of beer, wine, or distilled spirits.
“The bottom line is, never go more than 24 hours without a drink” explains Dr. Ellison, who is chief of preventive medicine and epidemiology at Boston University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ellison recommends that doctors prescribe a drink a day to their patients to promote better health and greater longevity.
