I just love Satire especially when the obvious truth hurts so much. I know it is not the holiday season yet but I believe Rev. Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping messages are valid the year around. In fact, their messages have been erected into a movement against the devil itself ----(over-consumption, consumerism, and the fires of eternal debt)

Please take the time to watch and ponder the question: are we really experiencing a shopocalypse?

Yes, wine was on my mind and after careful thought I decided on a bottle of Lambrusco which is nothing fancy or special but most importantly the cost was well within my budget. Friends, is wine something you splurge on or is it budgeted like everything else?

I went shopping yesterday and this is what I bought. Veggie Lasagna is one of my favorites. Not only does it taste good but the price is right--Euro 1.19 each. I almost forgot, the total price for the entire basket was Euro 28.14

Contents of today's shopping. Bread, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers,fish,beer, chips, milk and many others. I think this amount will last several meals when combined with whats in the frige at the moment.

Food Shopping 2

I went food shopping once again, but this time at Plus a local neighborhood food discounter. This store is very similar to ALDI whereby one stop shopping is possible.

Well, this is the result of 30 minutes shopping and 46,70 Euro less money. I bought mostly the basics like eggs, milk, bread, mineral water, instant coffee, soda, yogurt, cheeses, cold cuts and of course a six pack of beer and a bottle of Lambrusco to wash everything down.

Does anyone think I spent to much money or not enough for 2 adults and "Fluffy" for 4 days by the way the photo looks?
