The picture on the right is of a trash can at a local park that contained a "Diet Coke" can and the picture on the right shows a crushed and discarded "Classic Coke" can very close where I live. The problem I have with this is in Germany each aluminum can has a deposit of 25 Euro cent added to the purchase price therefore the cans are returned to the store for the money back. However, these cans pictured are not subject to German law. Therefore, in other words the perpetrator that left the evidence is just ignorance of the law or just dosen't give a damn about littering and/or recycling even when exceptions to the law are made. The bottom line is that recyling is the key to a large reduction in landfillls.
